Evangelism is a team sport. So get your Christian mates together with your non-Christian mates to do things you all enjoy.

The Angels and the shepherds all had exciting news to share when Christ our saviour was born into our world. Yet many of us Christians aren't gifted evangelists and our past attempts to share our faith have been cringe worthy.

Sam Chan's book, How to Talk about Jesus, Without Being "That Guy", has been the guide for our Teen Sunday School this Term. The Teens said their top 2 practical tips from the book are:

Tip #1 Merge Your Universes

Evangelism is a team sport. So get your Christian mates together with your non-Christian mates to do things you all enjoy. Why keep them in separate friendship groups. Merge them.

Tip #2 Go to their things and they will come to yours

If a non-Christian invites you to go to one of their things, like a party or fundraiser or performance, make it a top priority to go. You will then discover that when you invite them to a church event that you are involved in (eg. the Christmas Carols), they will be much more likely to come.
